About
“Hi, I’m Tomo!”
Designer. Artist. Colorist. Writer. Photographer. Technophile. Superhero. Geek.
Tomoshige Jōji is a graphic designer, web programmer, artist, comic colorist, and photographer. Originally from the great state of Hawai’i, today he mainly works as a freelance graphic designer, web developer and tech consultant in Utah. He has done design work for a wide variety of clients over the years, including Amway, Upper Deck, UPS, Citibank, Pioneer Electronics, In-N-Out Burger, Novell, Motorola, FTD, Alliant Insurance, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and D-Link, to name a few.
Tomo spent over 17 years staffing anime conventions around the country. He was also the Editor-In-Chief and writer for @anime!, a web magazine about anime, manga and Japanese culture.
In the world of comics, he was the long-time designer and eventual webmaster for Elfquest.com, the website for the highly acclaimed fantasy comics series Elfquest and its publisher, Warp Graphics, Inc. During that time, he was the colorist for the first three European volumes of Elfquest: Dreamtime, released by Warp through German comics publisher Carlsen Verlag.
Under normal circumstances, he can be found working (usually), sleeping, or at home watching anime on various streaming services (Crunchyroll! HIDIVE! Netflix! Prime! Hulu! I don’t discriminate.) or from his personal collection.
